The conference was organized by the Department of English and American Studies of Pardubice University. Scholars from Czech and foreign universities met in Pardubice to present and share their research findings and to discuss a variety of contributions related to the concept of ‘framing’. In two main sections (Literature and Cultural Studies, Teaching/Learning English and Linguistics), the participants analysed and commented on a wide range of topics, including interculturality; issues and approaches related to genre, poetry, fictionality, or ethnicity; non-native discourse, computer mediated communication or learning English in and outside the school.
