Currently, gaining ground in the market have been especially businesses that are able to establish and continuously deepen cooperation with their partners involved in creating value for end customers. While previously companies focused on deepening cooperation in particular with (selected) suppliers and customers while building a supply chain with them, today that seems to be insufficient in terms of achieving the final effect. At present, cooperation needs to be understood in a broader sense, in the context of value network formation. A value network is made up not only of the firm itself and its trading partners but also of other stakeholders that influence the performance of individual business activities and, consequently, the value provided to customers and/or costs associated with these activities.
