The monograph "Using Public Transport Systems for Sustainable Urban Freight Delivery" explores innovative solutions to the challenges of urban logistics in the context of sustainability, growing e-commerce, and urbanization. Through extensive analysis of academic literature, practical cases, and statistical data, the authors develop a conceptual framework for integrating public transport systems into last-mile delivery to address economic, environmental, and social challenges. Urban freight delivery, particularly last-mile logistics, has emerged as a critical issue due to increasing traffic congestion, environmental pollution, and growing consumer demand for rapid and reliable delivery. This study highlights the potential of combining passenger and freight transportation systems as a means to optimize urban logistics. Public transport systems, often underutilized during off-peak hours, provide a promising avenue for the sustainable delivery of goods. By utilizing existing infrastructure, this approach reduces emissions, operational costs, and urban congestion, aligning with the goals of sustainable development, particularly UN Sustainable Development Goal №11. A central focus of the monograph is the exploration of crowdshipping as a novel delivery method. This approach leverages ordinary citizens to transport goods along their regular travel routes. The authors critically analyze global research and practical implementations of crowdshipping, identifying its benefits, such as resource optimization and reduction of transport demand, alongside significant challenges. These challenges include trust, security, coordination, and regulatory barriers, all of which must be addressed for effective implementation. The study offers a comparative analysis of the attitudes toward public transport-based crowdshipping in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, two countries with differing socio-economic conditions. Based on surveys and statistical modeling, the authors identify cultural and economic factors influencing the willingness of individuals to participate as crowdshippers. Using the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (Fuzzy AHP) and multinomial logit models, the research evaluates barriers and enablers for adopting this innovative delivery method. Based on the example of the city of Pardubice, a model for assessing the compliance of the demand for last-mile delivery and the potential of the public transport system to meet this demand has been created using PTV Visum software. The monograph concludes with actionable recommendations for developing crowdshipping systems in Ukraine and the Czech Republic. These include creating supportive legal frameworks, investing in infrastructure such as automated parcel machines at public transport hubs, and fostering public awareness and trust through targeted campaigns. The integration of digital platforms for matching delivery requests with potential crowdshippers is also highlighted as a critical enabler for system efficiency.By synthesizing insights from an extensive review of scholarly sources and practical implementations, the monograph makes a substantial contribution to the field of urban logistics. It provides a roadmap for policymakers, urban planners, and private-sector stakeholders to implement sustainable delivery solutions that optimize resource use, reduce environmental impact, and enhance service efficiency. The findings underscore the importance of adopting innovative approaches to last-mile delivery, which are critical for the future of urban mobility and sustainability
