The basic goal of education lies in developing the ability to apply gained knowledge and skills in practice. Today, at the time of intense development of science and technology and of steady growth of ICT under conditions of global market, practical application becomes a particularly topical issue. In May 2011, there was a primary quantitative research conducted among students of bachelor study programme at FBM. The aim was to identify flaws in current job engineering education, specifically concerningeducation through the means of the TPV2000 information product in laboratories. A number of representatives of partner companies were interviewed regarding demands placed on graduates. Data extracted from both of the studies served as grounds for subsequent analysis of knowledge supply and demand in the production process planning field.
