Among the approaches to decrease the adverse effects of anticancer drugs belongs their encapsulation inside a nanocarrier. This allows for a targeted delivery tu tumour tissue while avoiding the healthy cells. Apoferritin (Apo), the iron-free form of ferritin, can act as a nanocarrier.
