Possibilities of identifying talents in an ordinary elementary school
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper represents the author's own research. The aim of the first part of the research was to analyse the possibilities of identifying a gifted child of school age in the regular education system, using newly created and questionnaire-like nominations (pedagogical, parental) and subsequently verifying the validation of the obtained data using a range of tests currently available to counselling and clinical psychologists for this specific age group. The research sample consisted of 128 elementary school children who were given 256 teacher nomination-questionnaires and 128 parent nomination-questionnaires. This questionnaire survey exhibited considerable information value and, after a pilot verification, it can be considered a suitable identification tool that could be used by special educators to identify the talents of pupils directly in schools.
