The authors of the essay focus on the methods of economy-field research work. These methods differ greatly; quantitative methods with substantial utilization of the mathematical apparatus are preferred these days. For their research the authors decided to choose the mind mapping method which is suitable for logical organization of well-known facts as well as for deducing new connections resulting or deduced from well-known facts.The essay aims to demonstrate a few existing flaws in applying research methods and to suggest a direction of possible changes and their reflection in educational programmes. The methods discussed in this paper can be successfully applied for educational programmes on financial markets.
