Europa und der Grenzdiskurs in der deutschsprachigen Literatur

Grenzen und Grenzüberschreitungen als literarische Topoi und Motive beziehen sich aber nicht nur auf nationalstaatliche oder kulturelle Grenzen, sondern auch auf Genregrenzen, sprachliche Abgrenzungen und Vermischungen, ideologische Grenzen, Grenzgängerfiguren oder Grenzen des Körpers und der Geschlechteridentitäten. Der Workshops widmet sich dem Grenz-Diskurs in der Literatur seit 1989 aus verschiedenen Perspektiven, beleuchtet unterschiedliche Zugänge und Ansätze und behält dabei den Blick auf Europa und europäische Identität. Wie werden die Grenzen und Grenzüberschreitungen in der Literatur dargestellt? Welche Motive, Bilder, Konstrukte und Visionen von Europa entstehen in der Gegenwartsliteratur? Welche Rolle spielen dabei Konstruktionen und Dekonstruktionen von Grenzen, etwa mit Blick auf den Ost-West-Diskurs? Welche Konzepte bieten die literarischen Texte, die räumliche, politische, identitäre und gesellschaftliche Grenzen überwinden oder neu denken? Diese und ähnliche Fragen wurden im Rahmen des Workshops diskutiert.

However, borders and border crossings as literary topoi and motifs refer not only to nation-state or cultural borders, but also to genre borders, linguistic demarcations and blending, ideological borders, border-crossing figures, or borders of the body and gender identities. The workshop is dedicated to the discourse of borders in literature since 1989 from different perspectives, illuminating different approaches and approaches while keeping an eye on Europe and European identity. How are borders and border crossings represented in literature? What motifs, images, constructs, and visions of Europe emerge in contemporary literature? What role do constructions and deconstructions of borders play, for instance with regard to the East-West discourse? What concepts are offered by literary texts that overcome or rethink spatial, political, identitary, and social borders? These and similar questions were discussed during the workshop.
