Der Beitrag ist als Einleitung zum Band &quot;Über Jaroslav Rudiš&quot; konzipiert, in dem das Werk und Wirken dieses multimedialen Autors sowohl in seiner Vielfältigkeit, als auch in den beiden Sprachkontexten (in denen er mittlerweile stark präsent ist) vorstellt wird. Zum ersten Mal wird hier die Entwicklung von Jaroslav Rudiš als Romanautor nachgezeichnet und seine Autorenschaft zwischen Medien und Kultur diskutiert. Dabei richtet sich die Abhandlung, wie der ganze Band auch, nicht nur an die Literaturwissenschaft, sondern stets auch an literaturinteressierte Leser:innen und versucht, eine sinnvolle Verbindung zwischen den beiden Zielgruppen zu schaffen mit dem Ziel, einen Beitrag zum aktuellen Gespräch über diesen Autor und sein Werk in der literarischen Öffentlichkeit zu leisten sowie neue Anregungen der Literaturforschung zu geben.

The article is conceived as an introduction to the volume &quot;About Jaroslav Rudiš&quot;, in which the work and influence of this multimedia author is presented both in its diversity and in the two linguistic contexts (in which he is now strongly present). For the first time, the development of Jaroslav Rudiš as a novelist is traced and his authorship between media and culture is discussed. The treatise, like the entire volume, is aimed not only at literary scholars, but also at readers interested in literature, and attempts to create a meaningful connection between the two target groups with the aim of contributing to the current conversation about this author and his work in the literary public and providing new impulses for literary research.
