The Creative Process as a Form of Intergenerational Cooperation

  • Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

The contribution focuses on the essence of the creative process as one of the forms of intergenerational communication. It describes the project of the Department of Pedagogy at the pedagogical Faculty of the University of J.E. Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem called "Communication in the creative process as a means of intergenerational cooperation in various social environments". The aim of the project was to involve students studying at the first stage of the elementary School of teaching and training of teachers in kindergarten in the realization of artistic activities-art, music and drama. The project carried out several concerts, exhibitions, performances, animation galleries, excursions and theatrical performances. The aim was to involve various educational institutions and target groups in various, often disadvantaged social environments (special nurseries, kindergartens, elementary schools, hospice, prisons, etc. We perceive art as a natural part of non-verbal communication. Research shows that non-verbal communication is much more important in communication than verbal communication. Not only speech and body language is important in communication, but listening plays a major role. Listening to the communication process is reported to be between 45% and 53%. Successful communication requires good listening, active listening and asking questions. Although the ability to listen is considered to be a normal thing everyone can do, it is estimated that up to 80% of people can not listen. The essence of both follow-up projects was to give students the opportunity to try their musical and creative activities beyond their obligatory pedagogical practice and naturally so they have experienced what they can use not only in the theoretical and practical level. Through the preparation and realization of artistic outputs, students have become aware of the importance and possibilities of communication in the creative process. Our observing projects have confirmed our assumption that it is possible to communicate through artistic creation across all age and social strata. They have given all the opportunity to reflect on the possibilities of mutual aesthetic integration and importance for pedagogical theory and practice. Students gained experience and ideas from teaching specific subjects at art education. We can also talk about the fact that projects have met the current approaches of expressive disciplines towards the socio-cultural environment of all levels.
