This paper is concerned with the construction and commissioning of a functional model of an experimental stand for the research and development of injectors for diesel engines with electromagnetic actuators, intended for fuel systems of the Common Rail type. It states the test results of an injector from the Bosch firm, employed in Cummins engines. The knowledge obtained on the injection process is presented, with measuring effected on a functional engine, and indicates the further innovation possibilities of the experimental stand.
