Safety Culture in Quality Management System of the Organisation

The quality management system of organisations must be connected with aspects of the risk management now. This article deals with the status quo of a safety culture in organisations. It presents safety culture aspects according to foreign publications and discusses it to the situation in the Czech Republic. This text is also an outcome of own research of status quo of safety culture in quality management system here. Safety characteristics for this system are discussed. The relation of the status quo ofa safety culture to a self assessment of their management system is presented on a pilot example. Recommendations for building up of safety culture in organisations are described. The goal is to improve of the competitiveness of organisations.The research reported in this paper was supported by targeted support for specific university research within the student grant competition TUL (Project 21010 - Complex optimization of manufacturing systems and processes 2).
