This paper focuses on the presentation of the partial results of the doctoral thesis which deals with the auxetic knitted fabric. The splicing technology was identified for auxetic linear fabrics production, the proposal should be implemented by construction (materials, technologies, binding) of the product and its subsequent testing. The designed auxetic 2D structure was tested on the tensometer, while the camera scanned pictures. These sets of pictures were transformed in the image analysis program where the changes of the basic parameters of the braided structure in relation to time were measured.
