This article focuses on the presentation of the partial results which deals with the research of the woven fabric with auxetic effect. The splicing (braiding) technology was identified for the linear fabrics ? high functional cord ? production. Subsequently, the linear structure processed into woven fabrics in basic weaving bonds (plain, twill). The designed woven structure with auxetic effect was tested on the tensionmeter, while the camera scanned pictures on line. These sets of pictures were transformed in the image analysis program where the changes of the basic parameters of the woven structure in relation to time were measured. The auxetic behavior of this woven fabric was observed and measured.
