Stať se soustřeďuje na diskursivní reflexi eseje. Nesleduje tedy literární charakteristiky eseje, jeho stylové či žánrové vymezení, nýbrž usiluje o vystižení diskursivní formy eseje. Zaměřuje se na teoretické uchopení diskursivního rozhraní mezi poesií a filosofií, jež je pro esej jakožto myšlenkovou formu určující. Zkoumání vnitřního diskursivního upořádání eseje se děje na historických příkladech „esejů o eseji“. Eseje György Lukácse, Theodorw W. Adorna a Maxe Benseho poskytují základní podněty pro toto teoretické zkoumání. Zmínění autoři zasazují esej mezi poesii a filosofii, popisují tedy charakteristiky eseje z interdiskursivní perspektivy. V přesahu těchto diskursivních formací se pak začne tvořit společná oblast konfinia a interdiskursivní diference se změní na itradiskursivní. Na tomto místě se začne ukazovat hranice možnosti regulérního způsobu reprezentace. Uvnitř esej jakožto svého druhu zdvojené diskursivní formy tak dochází ke specifické remediaci – dochází k překřížení diskursivních i poetických postupů aniž je možno tuto „přeshraniční“ oscilaci diskursivních forem nějakým způsobem ukotvit a vzájemně oddělit. V jistém smyslu obě diskursivní odlišně orientované formace fungují v esej zároveň. Tím mu dávají jeho specifickou interpretativně proměnlivou hybridnost.

The paper focuses on the discursive reflection of the essay. Thus, it does not follow the literary characteristics of the essay, its stylistic or genre definition, but seeks to expose the discursive form of the essay. It focuses on the theoretical grasp of the discursive interface between poetry and philosophy, which is decisive for the essay as a thought form. The examination of the internal discursive arrangement of the essay is done through historical examples of „essays on the essay.” The essays of György Lukács, Theodor W. Adorno and Max Bense provide the basic stimulus for this theoretical inquiry. The aforementioned authors situate the essay between poetry and philosophy, thus describing the characteristics of the essay from an interdiscursive perspective. Then, in the overlap of these discursive formations, a common area of confinium begins to form and the interdiscursive differentiation turns into an itradiscursive one. At this point, the limits of the possibility of a regular mode of representation begin to emerge. Thus, within the essay as a kind of doubled discursive form, a specific remediation takes place - there is a crossing of discursive and poetic practices without any possibility of anchoring and separating this „cross-border” oscillation of discursive forms. In a sense, the two discursive differentiated formations function simultaneously in the essay. In doing so, they give it its specific interpretative hybridity.
