The world is found in the middle of transformation. We exist in the transformation of culture. A human being is compete with inovations whitch are so popular nowadays. What are we going through is a changeover from modern time to postmodern time. Although everything is not that obvious what charecteristic features of the new era are, despite of that we can see or sense signs of fact that we are glutted by huge changes in social environment at this contemporary culture. The impact of social environment is social pedagogy and social work. The monography ,,Social pedagogy versus social work,, is a summary of single pieces of knowledge both scientifics disciplines whitch are offering a view how to perceive social pedagogy and social work under of single characters, reserched theory and they are perciving get to know methodological sectors whitch are distinguished by different ways at pedagogy and social scientific. Be so in sphere of theoretical and practical konowledge. This scientifics monography is on the base a probe of birth and operation these two disciplines and on the basis of common and different elements, whitch have own authenticity in sociable – humanistic scientifics. In monography we are trying to span and perceive all – purpose view to basic and joint theoretical conceptions and to variety of both of scientifics disciplines in the context of nowaday´s scientifics specifications.
