The symposium is an annual event focused on the Czech foreign policy with participants from the ranks of the Czech political elite and leading representatives of Czech and foreign diplomacy. One of the goals of this event is to enable a dialogue betweenthe political and academic elite and the general public. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomír Zaorálek opened the plenary session. The symposium became one of the most attended IIR events, which can be demonstrated by pointing to the participation ofnumerous domestic and foreign experts and guests from the general public and even from the private sphere in it. Among the distinguished speakers from abroad was for example Rick Fawn from School of International Relations, University of St Andrews.
