In this paper, designing of the new advanced modes for the mobile platform control application is described. During the project it was first necessary to add new hardware modules to the mobile platform current concept and improve firmware of the severalmodules that were already mounted. After that the main goal of this project was to design the C# application with different possibilities of controlling the platform. It collects data from all the sensors and allows regulation of the movement in four modes. Joystick control mode was improved from the previous projects with obstacle detection. Glyph following mode was also improved to allow better movement possibilities. Finally two new modes were created: human figure recognition with following of the basic gestures and autonomous navigation with obstacle detection and avoiding.
