L’objectif de cette étude est de déterminer quelle est la place de l’acquisition de lacompétence lexicale dans le cadre des approches didactiques orientées vers lacommunication spécialisée. Nous avons analysé un corpus de plusieurs ouvragesdidactiques traitant de l’évolution des méthodologies du français langue étrangère etfrançais langue de spécialité. L’objectif de notre contribution était donc de déterminer,quelle place la composante lexicale occupe dans les approches didactiques étudiées etquelles sont les pistes proposées pour acquérir le vocabulaire spécialisé dans les coursauprès du public spécialisé.

The main objective of our contribution is to determine the role of the acquisition oflexical competence among the specialized public in the current didactic approachesaiming at specialized communication, thus in the concepts such as French as aprofessional language, French for Specific Purposes and French for AcademicPurposes. Students of all the mentioned didactic approaches use a foreign language asa means of communication in their field of study or activity. The aim of our paper isto define the position of vocabulary teaching in selected didactic approaches that dealwith the teaching of the French language as a professional language. For the purposeof our article, we have compiled a corpus consisting of methodological publicationsdealing with the development of specialized French. The analysis of the corpus willaim at defining the role of vocabulary acquisition in these didactic approaches. Theconclusion of the text will summarize the analysis and provide a starting point forteaching vocabulary in professional language courses
