As part of a larger project focusing on implementing inclusive education in primary schools in the Czech Republic, an evaluation was conducted of the role of school assistants in supporting children with a wide range of needs, including those with intellectual disability. Schools assistants work across a school in contrast to teaching assistants employed to work with specific children. The evaluation explored the roles, activities and experiences of school assistants.
