Excursion as an important aspect in the preparation of future chemistry teachers
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Excursions to chemical plants are assumed as an important aspect not only in the preparation of expert chemists but in the preparation of future chemistry teachers too.A questionnaire was used to confirm the students - future teachers – opinions on the excursions. A queried group of the students were studying a continuing master’s degree program. It was found that they were aware of the benefits of excursions for the expertness (chemistry) side of their education. They appreciated gaining experience and information useful for their future work as teachers too.The evaluation revealed some differences in the perception of the benefits of excursions in each specific plant related to the conduct and organization of excursions in the visited facilities. Some additional information was also elicited using open-ended questions. They were asked about the overall impression of the excursion for example, or which kind of chemical industry, if any, they chose to complement the excursion. After evaluation, the information obtained was in accordance with the assumption that the students themselves appreciated the role of their own experience with the realities of chemical technologies.
