The primary purpose of this monograph is to provide a theoretical framework of so cial commerce followed by an analytical overview of the current state of factors that users find essential to it. This monograph discusses the evolution of electronic com merce into social commerce, which was possible with the creation and development of Web 2.0 and social media. Social media and Web 2.0 are closely linked to each other and have revolution ized the way people communicate, create, and share information online. The Internet enabled people worldwide to have a new form of communication mediated through a computer network, allowing for the creation of interactive platforms where consum ers are initiators and recipients of information messages. Social media has experienced tremendous growth in recent years due to the opportunity to connect with other users easily, which has almost no geographical or time barriers.S commerce is a new concept for shopping that has gained ground worldwide. It has been defined differently and from different perspectives. In the theoretical part, this monograph attempts to provide the main factors that motivate users to purchase on so cial commerce platforms. In the empirical part, research using a parallel mixed meth od research design is conducted. The goal of the conducted research is to shed light on factors that influence users to use social commerce and to investigate whether it is significantly affected by demographic statistics.Overall, the findings indicate that social interaction is the most important factor that affects social commerce use. The findings also suggest significant gender differ ences in social interactions, trust, and intention to use social commerce. The monograph contributes to the existing literature and knowledge about social commerce by offering an overview of factors connected to the concept and demonstrat ing the perceived importance of selected factors that influence the use of social com merce in a chosen context. We hope that the results of this monograph can be helpful to researchers, marketing experts, and those looking for the results of both primary and practice oriented research focused on social commerce.
