A low-temperature synthesis of strongly thermochromic W and Sr co-doped VO2 films with a low transition temperature
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
We report a scalable sputter technique for the deposition of strongly thermochromic W and Sr co-doped VO2 films onto 170 nm thick Y-stabilized ZrO2 layers on a 1 mm thick conventional soda-lime glass at a low substrate temperature of 320 °C (the usual temperatures used in other laboratories are 450 °C and higher) and without any substrate bias voltage. The W and Sr co-doped VO2 films have been synthesized using a controlled high-power impulse magnetron sputtering of a V-W target combined with a simultaneous pulsed DC magnetron sputtering of a Sr target in argon-oxygen gas mixtures. The fundamental principles of this technique and the structure (X-ray diffraction), optical (spectrophotometry and spectroscopic ellipsometry), and electrical (four-point probe system) properties of the thermochromic films are presented. The results are important for further improvement of this scalable sputter deposition technique for a low-temperature synthesis of high-performance durable thermochromic VO2-based multilayer coatings designed for smart-window applications.
