Unlike the printed documents patronage by the aristocratic Eggenberg family, the prints provenance of Schwarzenberg family has been widely neglected. A few preserved written sources allow us to learn about the details on the circumstances of birth of some books, which had been created on the initiative of the Schwarzenberg family. As a perfect example might serve a book called Hydriatria Nova, a published description of the Libnič Spa, placed in southern Bohemian Hluboká nad Vltavou manor, written by acourt doctor Johann Franz Löw of Erlsfeld. The manuscript was being written in a direct connection with the foundation of the Libnič Spa resort in the eighties of the 17th century. Nevertheless, it was not printed until 1721. It was published in two language versions - German and Czech. In my speech, I am going to discuss the circumstances of birth of the book and its content as well.
