An Action-oriented Approach within the Teacher Training Courses for Future Secondary School Teachers
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The objective of the contribution is to point out basic questions concerning the implementation of an action-oriented approach, as it is specified in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, into foreign language teaching within Czech education environment. The introduction of the contribution treats briefly theoretical bases of action-oriented language teaching which is recommended by the CEFR as a means for achieving expected outcomes. We also seek to put the methodological principles of Task-based and Competency-based Language Teaching (TBLT and CBLT) into perspective of secondary school teacher training courses. We assume that it is possible to apply the above-mentioned language teaching methods also on teaching theoretical subjects concerning foreign language teaching methodology as well as on the organisation of teaching practice for future language teachers. We try to outline the possible benefits but also problems connected with the implementation of the action-oriented approach and finally, we briefly summarise the key principles which must be taken into consideration when trying to implement the action-oriented approach into practice.
