In questo studio gli autori esaminano l’uso del tempo e dell’aspetto verbale nel commento sportivo in ceco e in italiano. L’analisi dei commenti sportivi delle partite di hockey su ghiaccio trasmesse in televisione mostra che, in ceco, è possibile usare i verbi perfettivi al presente, dando una risposta ad una questione rimasta aperta negli studi in cui era stata affrontata questa problematica (Thelin 1990, Dickey 2000). L’ articolo mette anche in evidenza la possibilità di usare i verbi imperfettivi al presente di registro (Esvan 2015). I commenti delle partite di calcio mostrano che, in italiano, è maggiormente usato il tempo presente. L’uso dell’espressione “stare + gerundio” è invece marginale. Si può constatare un uso frequente dei sostantivi al posto dei verbi.

In this article, the authors examine the problem of the use of tenses and verbal aspect in Czech and Italian sports commentary. An analysis of TV ice-hockey commentaries shows that it is possible in Czech to use verbs in the present tense with a perfective aspect, thus giving a response to a question that remained unanswered in studies which had discussed this problem (Thelin 1990, Dickey 2000). It is also shown that the use of the imperfective aspect following the model of the tabular present (Esvan 2015) is also possible. As for Italian, the analysis of football match commentaries shows that the present tense is mainly used and that the usage of the progressive form “stare + gerundio” is marginal. The use of nouns instead of verbs is also very common.
