L’article vise à résumer l’histoire de la réception de l’œuvre poétique d’Arthur Rimbaud dans l’environnement tchèque, qui se déploie sur plus de 150 ans. Sur la base des traductions publiées, des textes liminaires, des critiques des traductions et des études spécialisées, est retracée l’évolution de la réception de l’œuvre du poète ainsi que de son interprétation en relation avec les transformations du milieu tchèque. Depuis les premiers échos et les traductions pionnières de la fin du XIXe sièclejusqu’à nos jours, l’accent est mis notamment sur les particularités de cette réception influencée profondément par les conditions historiques, sociales et politiques du contexte de la culture d’arrivée. La réception de l’œuvre rimbaldienne apparait ainsi comme un processus perpétuel et un défi constant aux traducteurs et aux critiques

The aim of this article is to summarise the history of the reception of Arthur Rimbaud's poetic work in the Czech environment, which extends over more than 150 years. On the basis of published translations, introductory texts, reviews of translations and academic studies, we trace the evolution of the reception of the poet's work and its interpretation in relation to the historical, social and political transformations of the Czech environment. From the first echoes and pioneering translations at the end of the nineteenth century to the present day, the emphasis is placed on the particular features of this reception, which is profoundly influenced by the historical, social and political conditions of the context of the target culture. The reception of Rimbaud's work thus appears to be a perpetual process and a constant challenge to translators and critics.
