Pesticidní ochrana je čtvrtou největší nákladovou položkou při pěstování brambor, a proto je velmi důležité věnovat jí náležitou pozornost. U vybraných pěstitelů brambor na Českomoravské vrchovině v období 2011 – 2021 náklady v průměru přesáhly 10 tis. Kč na ha brambor. Největší podíl měla fungicidní ochrana proti plísní bramboru (46,2 %, 5 158 Kč/ha), dále ochrana proti plevelům herbicidními přípravky (17,8 %, 1 981 Kč/ha) a ochrana proti mšicím a mandelince bramboru insekticidy (10,7 %, 1 189 Kč/ha). Významné byly rovněž náklady na ukončení vegetace chemicky desikanty (12,3 %, 1 367 Kč/ha). Do skupiny ostatních přípravků (13,1 %, 1 467 Kč/ha) patřila mořidla proti vločkovitosti bramboru, desinfekční přípravky, smáčedla, regulátory růstu apod. Uvedené výsledky zobrazují sice zlomek celkové plochy brambor (5,6 %), na druhé straně však průměrná osázená plocha brambor vyšší než 120 ha u vybraných pěstitelů svědčí o správnosti výběru tohoto souboru zemědělských podniků. Uvedené údaje reportů ÚKZÚZ o spotřebě přípravků zahrnují veškerou sledovanou plochu brambor v ČR, informují o všech pěstitelích brambor. Ne vždy je ochrana brambor pesticidy prováděna s takovou intenzitou, jako u vybraného souboru pěstitelů. Proto se mohou zdát výsledky neporovnatelné.

Expert article in magazine Agromanuál, 18, 3, 62-65. ISSN 1801-7673. Pesticide protection is the fourth largest cost item in growing potatoes, so it is very important to pay proper attention to it. For selected potato growers in the Czech-Moravian Highlands in the period 2011 – 2021, costs on average exceeded 10,000. CZK per hectare of potatoes. The largest share was fungicidal protection against potato blight (46.2%, 5,158 CZK/ha), followed by protection against weeds with herbicides (17.8%, 1,981 CZK/ha) and protection against aphids and potato mandelinae with insecticides (10, 7%, 1,189 CZK/ha). Costs for terminating vegetation with chemical desiccants were also significant (12.3%, 1,367 CZK/ha). The group of other products (13.1%, 1,467 CZK/ha) included disinfectants, wetting agents, growth regulators, etc. Although the stated results show a fraction of the total area of potatoes (5.6%), on the other hand the average planted potato area of more than 120 ha among the selected growers testifies to the correctness of the selection of this group of agricultural enterprises. The given data from the ÚKZÚZ reports on the consumption of preparations include the entire monitored area of potatoes in the Czech Republic, they provide information on all potato growers. The protection of potatoes with pesticides is not always carried out with such intensity as with a selected group of growers. Therefore, the results may seem incomparable.
