Analysis of the Lessons Learned process in the Czech Armed Forces based on using heuristics methods

The Lessons Learned Process is one that crosses functional boundaries and allows an organization to learn from both its mistakes and its successes. This process in the Czech Armed Forces is not ideal for several reasons. This article aims to present the results of the research, which the author found when analysing the state of the Lessons Learned Process. Gravity of analysis is based on the premise that the outputs of the Lessons Learned Process directly affect other important processes. The aim of the empirical research was to identify key problems in the Lessons Learned Process. Methods like structured interviews, questionnaires and observations were used as the documentation method to supplement the information and data acquired by studying and analysing the subject. The result of analytical studies, which is described in detail in the article, is the formulation of a problem hindering the effective implementation and full utilization of the Lessons Learned Process in the Czech Armed Forces. The conclusion presents the description of some suggestions and recommendations for further development of this process.
