  • Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

The article addresses the current needs of military higher education. During their studies, students face general academic challenges, as well as several specific areas that are integral to a military professional's life. The paper aims to clarify and evaluate insights related to the issue of stress and burden. It focuses primarily on the environment of the University of Defence and identifies the stress-inducing factors associated with university-level studies. A quantitative approach was employed for the research, utilizing the standardized SVF 78 questionnaire and an adapted questionnaire that focused on stress factors at the University of Defence. The research sample consists of 112 military students of the university. The results indicate that, for the selected sample at the University of Defence, the core source of study-related stress is not the performance of military activities (such as training), but rather the area of command and logistical support. This area is represented by the university’s organizational unit – the Training Regiment – which is involved in military administrative matters related to student life, personnel support, and character development. The findings are discussed in the context of the structure of military higher education as managed under the authority of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic
