At present mastering English is one of the pre-requisities of success in most professional areas of life. Academic world is undoubtedly one of them. In the Czech Republic, it is still not taken for granted that university graduates are able to fluently communicate in English. Nevertheless, educational documents proclaim the importance of learning languages and in case of higher education, the language policy is fully in the hands of university or faculty management. In this respect, the Faculty of Military Technology shows deep understanding of the importance of language training. Unlike many other universities, even Ph.D. students have mandatory language lessons.
