This study explored the application of vibration diagnostics to assess the operational conditions of turbochargers in internal combustion engines. Emphasizing the critical role of turbochargers in enhancing engine efficiency and performance, this study highlights the benefits of vibration analysis for predictive maintenance. Vibration diagnostics enable early detection of issues such as imbalance, misalignment, and bearing failures, preventing catastrophic failures, and optimizing maintenance schedules. This study utilized a Lutron BVB-8207SD vibration meter and a CIMAT Turbo Test Pro testing machine to measure and analyze vibrations across three turbochargers at different lifecycle stages. The findings demonstrate the correlation between the vibration characteristics and technical state of turbochargers, providing a reliable methodology for monitoring and maintaining these critical engine components. This approach not only ensures the longevity and reliability of turbochargers but also contributes to the economic efficiency of automotive maintenance practices.
