To provide quality services any organization in private and public sector must have a qualified staff. Together with the organisational development (in internal and external environment) the requirements for a quality staff and its education develop. Currently, it is the increasingly more necessary to keep process of learning and development of employees in relation to the achievement of organizational goals. This article aims to identify the training methods, to assess usage of these methods in the organizations in the Czech Republic from the time and financial perspective and compare the results with the Slovak Republic. One of the conclusions is that organizations in the Czech and Slovak Republic use a same variety of learning on-the-job and off-the-job methods which are planned accordingly to the previously identified needs for learning and training of their employees.
