Act No. 561/2004 Coll. for preschool, primary, secondary, higher professional and other education (Education Act) provides that since the year 2015 the third obligatory facultative exam will be added to two obligatory school-leaving exams (Czech languageand literature, and foreign language) at all types of secondary schools. The pupils will choose from three pairs of subjects ? mathematics, civil and humanitarian base, and information and communication technology. In assessment of the content of the newly designed educational curriculum at secondary schools, there was a question, whether there is a difference between knowledge of the subject Informatics among students of gymnasiums and students from other secondary schools. There were 192 first-year students of the bachelor study programme Economics and Management that were tested with ten tasks in informatics within the secondary level curriculum.
