The aim of the paper is to assess the level of financial literacy in full-time university students in relation to their financial security in old age. Processed primary data was obtained in the framework of quantitative research through a questionnaire survey, n = 484, which was implemented in 2016 among full-time bachelors and masters degree students of Business and Administration at Faculty of Economics and Management Czech University of Life Sciences. The results show that financial security in old age is currently an issue for 48 percent respondents, 76 percent of the respondents are planning to fund their needs in retirement by state provided pension with the need for another means of funding. The statistical analysis of the data obtained revealed demonstrable weak correlation between the level of education and approach to both of the above mentioned issues.
