The experiment in nature" - transformation to market economy in CR - has afforded to model effects of macrosocial changes to individuals. The study demonstrates the privatization as a implement of transformation, creates mobility among sectors of economyon individual level. By the end of 1993 the salary in private sector had expanded dramatically. The difference was greater those who moved to the private sector, especially urban workers and those with more education. Contribution engages in associations among mobility and change of incomes, which mediated health, psychological distress and behavioral problems. Economic pressure mediated the relationship between salary change and subsequent reports of health problems, depressive symptoms and behavioralproblems.
