The map collection contains thematic map, which represent potential distribution Rallus aquaticus (Highly Endangered) in Vysočina region in Czech Republic. The potential distribution was build using Maxent 3.3.3 software, which is one of the widely usedmethod in Species distribution modelling (SDM). SDM is based on combination spatial information with environmental variables (in this case: temperature, elevation and Corine land-cover) and creates a model that displays areas of high similarity to the currently known locations of a species. Result (map) of this model is useful for estimating the potential of species occurrence in Vysočina region and for directing new places where this species are likely to be found.
