Lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of listeria.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Listeria spp. are widely distributed in the environment and frequently contaminate food. Only L. monocytogenes has been recognized as an important foodborne pathogen causing infections in both man and animal. L. ivanovii is primarily pathogenic for cattle and sheep. The other Listeria spp. are considered to be avirulent, although L. innocua may occasionally cause disease in ruminants. The most frequently contaminated foods are raw milk, soft cheeses, particularly those made from unpasteurized milk, icecream, raw vegetables, fermented raw-meat sausages, raw and cooked poultry, and raw and smoked fish. Food producers and distributors as well as public health authorities have great interest in timely detecting of Listeria contamination but traditional methods for the identification of listeria based on selective enrichments and subsequent biochemical analyses are both time-consuming and labour intensive. The aim of our study was to develop a rapid and simple method for detection of Liste
