THE CURRENT STATE OF TECHNOLOGY USE IN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS AS BASIS FOR HYBRID LEARNING
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The use of modern technology in education brings new possibilities for teaching and learning. Among the most dynamically developing technologies in education are mobile technologies that allow students to access information anytime and anywhere. Combined with a hybrid learning approach, where traditional classroom presence is blended with online learning, the door is opening to more interactive and personalized learning. This research focused on the current state of technology use in lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The aim was to find out what technologies teachers use in their teaching, for what purpose and how often. The intention was also to find out whether mobile classrooms are used in schools and whether students have the opportunity to use their own mobile devices in lessons. The research was carried out through a questionnaire survey among lower secondary school teachers in the Czech Republic. The results of the survey showed that the use of technology in teaching is at a very good level and most teachers allow their students to use their own mobile devices at least occasionally in lessons. In the case of hybrid teaching, teachers and pupils can thus use their experience and, in a similar way as in face-to-face teaching, integrate these technologies into their teaching. Thanks to mobile apps based on augmented or virtual reality, the online part of learning can be improved. © 2025 Proceedings of the International Conferences on Mobile Learning 2025 and Educational Technologies 2025.
