Digital Technologies and Healthy Lifestyles: Mobile Applications for Physical Activity
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This study explores the relationship between a healthy lifestyle and the use of digital technologies, specifically mobile applications related to physical activity, among female university students. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Education, Comenius University in Bratislava, focusing on students enrolled in the Preschool and Elementary Education program. A questionnaire consisting of 15 questions was used to assess the attitudes of 71 female students towards physical activity, health, and digital tools that support an active lifestyle. The collected data were analysed using a quantitative approach, applying multidimensional regression analysis to evaluate interactions between selected variables. The findings indicate that while students recognize the benefits of physical exercise, regular participation in sports activities remains limited. However, a significant proportion of students are familiar with and actively use digital applications to track and improve their physical activity. The study highlights the potential of mobile applications and social media in influencing students' attitudes toward health and fitness. These insights can be instrumental in designing educational interventions and digital solutions to promote healthier lifestyles in academic environments.
