IT Proficiency Within the MIS Triad

The concept of hybrid management is the initial issue serving as a basis for the MIS Triad (top management, users, IT staff) analysis from the perspective of todays necessary IT (and more generally IS) proficiency distributed within the Triad. The importance of IS knowledge and experience in connection with the business processes is out of discussion. Two extreme opinions could be presented here: one insists on rather a conservative approach keeping the user insulated of IS proficiency and quite an opposite one asking a deepIT expertise from modern users and managers. It seems that the truth is somewhere "in the middle".The paper tries to add some views to the discussion and to project the Triad components into the information system development life cycle structure defined rather in terms of IS expertise characterising each particular phase of the cycle. The result of that is practically an attempt to costumise the traditional concepts of hybrid managers and user-controlled computing
