EXPLORING STRESS AND BURNOUT IN THE WORKPLACE: IMPLICATIONS FOR EDUCATION
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Stress and burnout are significant factors influencing the quality of life of non-medical employees. This study focuses on analysing stress and burnout levels among these professionals and examines their impacts on the work environment. A questionnaire battery was used consisting of questionnaires MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory), evaluating the prevalence of burnout and Stress Perceived Scale. The research sample consisted of 585 healthcare employees 115 were men and 470 were women. The age range of the entire sample was from 24 to 64 years (mean age 49.49 years; SD 10.40). The results indicate high levels of stress and burnout, emphasizing inadequate support and challenging working conditions. This study proposes strategies for improving the work environment, including the implementation of preventive programs and the provision of supportive resources, which could lead to enhanced overall well-being of non-medical employees and the quality of services provided. Given that education plays a crucial role in preparing workers to cope with stress and prevent burnout, this study provides valuable insights for educational institutions. Educational programs should be more flexible and focus on developing emotional intelligence and stress management strategies to better prepare students and employees for the challenges of modern work life.
