L'article se propose d'analyser le rôle de l'émigré centre-européen en Europe occidentale dans les années apr?s la seconde guerre mondiale. ? partir de l'exemple de l'écrivain tch?que Jan Čep, nous montrons le double objectif de la mission que les exilésde l'Europe centrale et de l'Est se donnaient : porter témoignage et bâtir des ponts. Par ses articles et commentaires publiés dans la presse française, Čep cherchait a transmettre aux Français un témoignage de vérité a propos de son pays, de m?me qu'ildéployait, avec son Comité d'études culturelles franco-tchécoslovaques, des tentatives pour renouer et affirmer des relations amicales entre les deux pays.

The article aims to analyze the role of the Central European emigrants in Western Europe in the years after World War II. In the example of the Czech writer Jan Čep we show the dual aim of the mission that the exiles from Central Europe and East attributed to themselves: to give evidence and build bridges. Through his articles and commentaries published in the French press, Čep sought to convey to the French a true testimony about his country. Furthermore, he developed, with its Committee for Franco-Czechoslovak Cultural Studies, attempts to reconnect and reinforce the friendly relations between the two countries.
