Functieverba in Nederlandse verbonominale constructies

In vergelijking met de Duitse Funktionsverbgefüge worden Nederlandse verbonominale constructies met functieverba traditioneel vooral beschreven vanuit lexicologisch oogpunt en niet vanuit grammaticaal oogpunt. Dit artikel richt zich op een korte karakterisering van de functieverba die deel uitmaken van de vaak gebruikte Nederlandse verbonominale constructies maar toch nauwelijks in de vakliteratuur worden beschreven. Deze werkwoorden hebben vooral een grammaticale functie en hun lexicale betekenis is zeer beperkt. De onderzoeksvragen die de auteur probeert te beantwoorden zijn: Hoe kunnen Nederlandse functiewerkwoorden gekarakteriseerd en beschreven worden? Wat zijn de meest gebruikte functieverba in het hedendaagse Nederlands? Bij het karakteriseren van de Nederlandse werkwoorden laat ze zich deels inspireren door de beschrijving van de Duitse functiewerkwoorden door Helbig &amp; Buscha (2001: 79-105). Het gebruik van de meest frequente functieverba in Nederlandse verbonominale construcites is geverifieerd, onder andere met behulp van het geschreven corpus van hedendaags Nederlands (Corpus Hedendaags Nederlands).

In comparison with the German Funktionsverbgefüge, Dutch light verbs constructions are traditionally described from the lexicological point of view and not from the grammatical point of view. This article focuses on a brief characterization of the Dutch light verbs that are part of the frequently used Dutch light verbs constructions, yet receive almost no attention in the literature. These verbs have primarily a grammatical function and their lexical meaning is very limited. The research questions the author tries to answer are: How can Dutch light verbs be characterized and described? What are the most frequently used light verbs in contemporary Dutch? In characterizing the Dutch verbs, she is partly inspired by the description of the German light verbs by Helbig &amp; Buscha (2001: 79-105). The use of the most frequent light verbs in Dutch light verbs constructions was verified, among others, with the help of the written corpus of contemporary Dutch (Corpus Hedendaags Nederlands).
