The submitted contribution deals with the issue of learning theories in Talent Development process. Inthe introduction, attention is focused on the basis of TD process, the HRD – its definition and current trends, aswell as on definition of TD and usage of learning theories among TD literature. Yet not published systematicliterature review (2023) showed, that paradoxically, it cannot be argued that the theories of learning and adulteducation significantly dominate research in the field of TD, even though it is about the learning and developmentof adult workers. The second part of the text focuses on application of transformative learning theories in TD andHRD with suggestion of further possible directions in research of this topic.
