Sektion Nr. 25 des XV. Kongresses der Internationalen Vereinigung für GermanistikDie Präposition dient in den indoeuropäischen Sprachen als verbindendes Element. Präpositionen können als Präpositionalphrasen (PP) auf Phrasenebene und auf Satzgliedebene in vor allem als Adverbiale, Direktivum oder Präpositionalobjekte realisiert werden. Insbesondere der Übergangsbereich von Präpositionalobjekt, Direktivum und Adverbial ist dabei Gegenstand von Diskussionen unter Germanisten und Niederlandisten.Grammatiken und Methoden für Schüler, die Niederländisch als Fremd- oder Zweitsprache lernen, schenken dem Präpositionalobjekt nicht viel Aufmerksamkeit und beschränken sich in der Regel auf Listen von Verben mit ihren ‚festen‘ Präpositionen. Die vorherrschende Meinung ist, dass die Präposition des POs weitgehend bedeutungsleer und rein funktional ist, aber in jüngster Zeit wird diese Meinung von mehreren Autoren verlassen. Als Ergebnis seiner Untersuchung hat z.B. Höllein (2019) klargemacht, dass für die Präpositionen in Verbindung mit dem Kasus und dem regierenden Verb in diesen PO-Konstruktionen eine abstrakte Bedeutung im Sinne einer semantischen Nische angenommen werden kann.Die Sektion wird Präpositionalphrasen sowohl das Präpositionalobjekt im Niederländischen und Deutschen wie auch ähnliche Konstruktionen im Tschechischen diskutieren. Es werden in den Beiträgen verschiedene Aspekte der Verwendung von Präpositionen erörtert. Von Interesse ist neben den einzelsprachlichen Präpositionalsystemen der übereinzelsprachliche Vergleich.

Section no. 25 of the XVth Congress of the association Internationale Vereinigung für GermanistikIn Indo-European languages, prepositions serve as connecting elements. Prepositions can be realised as prepositional phrases (PP) at the phrase level and at the clause level, primarily as adverbials, direct objects or prepositional objects. The transition between prepositional objects, direct objects and adverbials is a particular subject of debate among German and Dutch linguists.Grammars and methods for students learning Dutch as a foreign or second language do not pay much attention to the prepositional object and usually limit themselves to lists of verbs with their “fixed” prepositions. The prevailing opinion is that the preposition of the PO is largely meaningless and purely functional, but this opinion has recently been abandoned by several authors. As a result of his research, Höllein (2019), for example, has made it clear that the prepositions in connection with the case and the governing verb in these PO constructions can be assumed to have an abstract meaning in the sense of a semantic niche.The section will discuss prepositional phrases, both the prepositional object in Dutch and German, as well as similar constructions in Czech. The contributions will discuss various aspects of the use of prepositions. In addition to the prepositional systems of individual languages, the cross-linguistic comparison is also of interest.
