The theme of childhood and growing up belongs to the most frequent themes in the stories with child and adolescent heroes. These periods of life are realistically depicted getting closer to the everyday life of children and adolescents, the main characters deal with similar problems or face the same life's situations as the readers. The application of these texts for the development of the personality can contribute to the value structure and positive changes of the personality. The values education isa very important part of general education. When appropriate texts become a part of education it is possible to achieve some of the educational targets established by the current curricular documents.
