Development of modern society brings new approaches and techniques to all spheres of human existence. Educational process has been also changed. Activation methods represent teaching techniques that should contribute to an increase in efficiency of teaching process through student's and teacher's active involvement. More than 200 respondents from Palacký University in Olomouc expressed their opinions on the relationship to the activation methods through a questionnairy survey done under project called Influence of activation methods used during the literature classes at elementary and secondary schools from the perspective of students of teacher training of Czech language and literature. Based on the answers we discovered that high percentage of students still encounters monolithic teaching style during their studies and they work with the activation methods more at university. Discussion has become the most favourite method which the future teachers want to include to their classes. T
