The paper introduces one of the parts of the pilot survey implemented under the project entitled Seniors as Perceived by Children. This pilot survey is focused on the mediation of the curriculum to elementary-school children through drama education as amethod of education. On the basis of the study of specialised literature, three teoretical bases have been established in order to deal with the issue: drama education in the conditions of elementary education, intergenerational relations with a focus onthe relations between the young generation and seniors, and the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The methods of the research are based on quantitative principles. An experiment, namely a quasi-experiment, has been chosen for the planned part of the pilot survey. The objective of this survey is to verify the benefit of drama education to the educational process of the 2nd level of elementary school with a focus on intergenerational relations.
