The text describes the communication possibilities of people with cognitive impairment. Cognitive impairment are thought, for example, as mild neurocognitive disorder, major neurocognitive disorder, mental disability, and so on. Major neurocognitive disorders most commonly occur in older adults. Reduced mental function may include: problems with memory, changes in behavior, difficulty understanding language, trouble performing daily activities. These symptoms may be caused by a neurodegenerative condition, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Mental disabilities may also have young people and children. Reduced mental function may include: problems with with logical thought operations, changes in behavior, difficulty understanding language. All of these diagnostic groups have primarily relationship problems. These problems are an obstacle to the care of these people. The text focuses on research and experience with communication options that remove obstacles. Authors tried to summarize the obtained experiences that could serve as an inspiration for nontraditional work with different groups of clients cognitive impairment.
